Course Description

This course explores the evolution of LGBTQ political movements and LGBTQ rights in the United States. It examines a variety of LGBTQ political issues at both the state and national level. Students learn how different political institutions have shaped LGBTQ rights in the United States and what tools and strategies the LGBTQ community has utilized when advocating for their rights. No prerequisites.
