Global Perspectives (GP)

This course surveys contemporary global issues in security, economic, humanitarian, and environmental affairs. In depth case studies include the Russia-Ukraine war; China-Taiwan relations; Iran and North Korea's nuclear weapons programs; the US-China trade war and the global trend toward trade protectionism; human migration; international negotiations and treaties addressing global environmental problems like climate change, species diversity and loss, and plastic pollution; and the Covid-19 pandemic. No prerequisites.
